Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Vamos app (“the App”) collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the App you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Learning data (stored on your device): “learned” marks, saved word lists, and reading progress. This stays on your device and is not uploaded to any server we operate.
- Subscriptions & purchases: handled by the Apple App Store (StoreKit). We never see your card or payment details; we only receive from Apple whether you have an active subscription, which we use to unlock features.
- Sign in with Apple: the App asks you to sign in when you first open it. We receive the name and email you approve, as an account identifier. This identifier is stored locally on your device; we also record locally which version of these terms you agreed to. You can sign out, or delete your account, at any time (see “Data retention & deletion”).
- Diagnostics: Apple may provide anonymized crash reports if you consent at the system level. The App contains no third-party advertising or behavioral-tracking SDKs.
2. How we use information
- To provide and preserve your learning progress and saved lists.
- To unlock paid features (audio, example translations, saved lists) based on subscription status.
- To display your signed-in identity, if you chose to sign in.
We do not use your personal information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to third parties.
3. Third-party services
- Apple (App Store / StoreKit / Sign in with Apple): processes payments and Apple sign-in, subject to the Apple Privacy Policy.
4. Data retention & deletion
- Data on your device is kept until you delete it or remove the App.
- You can sign out to remove your signed-in identity from the device.
- You can delete your account inside the App (Account → Delete account). This permanently removes your on-device account identity and learning data and cannot be undone.
- Subscriptions are managed by Apple; view or cancel them in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
5. Children’s privacy
The App is a general-purpose educational tool suitable for learners of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable age of consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child provided personal information, please contact us and we will help remove it. Please manage purchases with Apple’s Ask to Buy / parental approval features.
6. Your rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold that identifies you (such as a signed-in identity). Because learning data lives on your device, in most cases you can manage it yourself directly on the device.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page and reflected in the “Last updated” date.
